  • The PDHJ Launched the Book “Understanding Human Rights”

    Dili - Dr. Silverio Pinto Baptista, the Provedor, and Dr. Murade Murargy, the Executive Secretary for the CPLP launched a book with the title “Understanding Human Rights – a Manual for Human Rights Education” at the Nobre Meeting Room of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs and Cooperation in Dili, Timor-Leste, on 21 July 2015.

  • The PDHJ and the KOMNAS HAM Signed an Agreement for a Continuous Cooperation

    Indonesia – On 6 July 2015, at Santika Hotel, Bali-Indonesia, the Ombudsman for Human Rights and Justice of Timor-Leste (PDHJ), Dr. Silverio Pinto Baptista and the Chairman of the National Commission for Human Rights of Indonesia (KOMNAS HAM), Nur Kholis, SH, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) witnessed directly by the Consul General of Timor-Leste for Bali-Indonesia.     Ermera – The important role of the PDHJ is to promote and protect human rights and to promote good-governance.
